Abigail qualified as a solicitor in September 2023 following completion of her training contract at Dawson Cornwell; she now works primarily in our Matrimonial Department.
Abigail advises clients on all issues relating to relationship breakdown including divorce, financial remedies, private law children, cohabitation disputes/TOLATA, Schedule 1 and jurisdictional disputes. She has experience acting for both HNW and non-HNW individuals, and many of her cases have an international aspect to them, with clients who live abroad or have overseas assets.
She is a member of Resolution which is a community of family justice professionals who work with families and individuals to resolve issues in a constructive way. Additionally, she volunteers fortnightly at Islington Legal Advice Centre where she assists members of the community on a variety of family law matters.
Abigail graduated from the University of Edinburgh in 2018 with a 2.1 degree in French and History. As part of her undergraduate degree, she spent a year studying in Paris at the Sorbonne. On the Graduate Diploma in Law, she completed a research project on Divorce Reform. She achieved a Distinction in the Legal Practice Course and wrote her dissertation on Divorce Tourism in England and Wales.
Prior to joining Dawson Cornwell in September 2021, she spent a year working as a paralegal in family law teams at both regional and London firms.
Abigail reads, writes and speaks French at intermediate level.
