Profile

Nina is a trainee solicitor working in our Matrimonial Department having joined Dawson Cornwell in 2022.

She graduated with a 2:1 in Comparative Literature from King’s College London and went on to spend 5 years working in Education and Technology before converting to Law. Having passed the Graduate Diploma in Law with a Commendation, more recently she has passed both the SQE 1 & 2 and hopes to qualify as a solicitor in the coming months.

Nina’s previous experience working closely with NGOs in the field of forced marriage and honour based violence have strengthened her passion for family law and she has developed a good understanding of the intricacies and sensitivities of these difficult cases.

She is currently working in the Matrimonial Department, primarily assisting on divorce and financial remedies cases involving allegations of abuse and cases involving high profile individuals.

In her time in our Children Department, Nina assisted Sulema Jahangir on the reported cases of Omay Ali Elhag Elkndo v Elnoaman Gassam Elsyed (Committal: Sentence) [2024] EWHC 2230 (Fam), Omay Ali Elhag Elkndo v Elnoaman Gassam Elsyed & Ors (Committal: Findings) [2024] EWHC 2204 (Fam) and Flora Abdul Sater v Samer Abdul Sater [2023] EWHC 3509 (Fam).

Nina speaks Punjabi, some Urdu and Hindi and has a basic understanding of German.
