Ranked as a “Leading Individual” by Chambers UK 2026 and Chambers HNW 2025, and a “Next Generation Partner” by The Legal 500 2025, Charlotte qualified in 2005 but has specialised exclusively in family law since 2007. She joined Dawson Cornwell 2011 and was made up to partner in 2015.
She advises on all issues relating to relationship breakdown including divorce, cohabitation disputes and financial remedy proceedings, as well as child arrangement disputes. She has a particular expertise in applications for financial provision of children under Schedule 1 of the Children Act 1989. Additionally, she advises on and drafts pre-nuptial and pre-civil partnership agreements, and has developed a niche contentious trust practice involving assets held within estates and trust structures.
Before deciding to specialise in family law, Charlotte spent 2 years as a commercial litigation lawyer, specialising in issues such as breach of contract, negligence, nuisance, civil fraud, restraint and confiscation, directors disqualification, shareholder and partnership disputes and corporate and personal insolvency.
Charlotte is a member of Resolution and is a Resolution Accredited Specialist in Advanced Financial Provision I and II.
