Some of our high-profile work that has been selected for praise includes: acting in a landmark matrimonial law matter about disputes over money between divorcing spouses when one of them dies and in which were granted a \u201cleapfrog\u201d appeal, allowing our client to bypass the Court of Appeal and go directly to the Supreme Court; our case representing the husband in one of the most important cases on prenuptial agreements in the past decade, in which the High Court reinforced the position that courts should take account of such agreements provided that they are not completely unreasonable or signed under duress; and our case representing a mother in wardship proceedings who had been stranded in Pakistan by her child\u2019s father, who had stolen her travel documents and returned to England with the child. She successfully challenged the Home Office\u2019s policy arguing that it was discriminatory against foreign spouses who were stranded abroad to be unable to claim the domestic violence concession to secure their immigration status.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
