{"id":4896,"date":"2026-04-20T09:39:55","date_gmt":"2026-04-20T08:39:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dawsoncornwell.com\/?post_type=solicitor&#038;p=4896"},"modified":"2026-04-22T11:47:04","modified_gmt":"2026-04-22T10:47:04","slug":"naomi-angell","status":"publish","type":"solicitor","link":"https:\/\/dawsoncornwell.com\/pt\/the-team\/naomi-angell\/","title":{"rendered":"Naomi Angell"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Naomi Angell has joined Dawson Cornwell as a\u00a0consultant solicitor in our Children Department.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Naomi&nbsp;specialises in intercountry and domestic adoption, international and domestic surrogacy, and children\u2019s cases with an immigration interface.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Naomi is recognised as a leader in her field in Chambers &amp; Partners and Legal 500 directories.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">She advises and represents children, birth parents and extended family members, intended parents in surrogacy cases, surrogates, adopters and foster parents.&nbsp; In addition, she advises and acts as an expert witness to local authorities, foreign courts, lawyers and organisations involved in cross-border children\u2019s cases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Naomi was the recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2020 Family Law Awards. She also is a previous recipient of the Outstanding Contribution Award at the Family Law Awards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Naomi combines her case work with involvement with family policy,&nbsp;working to bring about changes in law and practice that she can see from her cases are necessary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In 1981, the International Year of the Child, Naomi set up the Children\u2019s Legal Centre and, in 2013, was invited to take up the position of Patron at the Centre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Naomi has been a member of many influential national committees including chairing the Family Law Committee and&nbsp;membership of the Children&#8217;s Law Sub-committee of the Law Society. In addition, for some years&nbsp;she chaired the adoption&nbsp;panel of one of the leading&nbsp;national adoption agencies and was legal adviser to the Intercountry Adoption Centre (IAC).&nbsp;She is a member of the Coram\/BAAF legal advisory group and was a member of an&nbsp;expert working group of lawyers concerning family law and the impact of Brexit, where she focused on children law issues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table class=\"has-fixed-layout\"><tbody><tr><td>&nbsp; &nbsp;<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Naomi Angell has joined Dawson Cornwell as a\u00a0consultant solicitor in our Children Department.
