Fiona is a paralegal in our Children Department.
Fiona spent five years in academic publishing before starting her conversion to Law. Building from the ground up, she joined the Citizen’s Advice Bureau as a volunteer before moving to HMCTS. As a Court Usher and Clerk, she worked closely with all levels of judiciary and court users, gaining a diverse knowledge of Civil, Criminal and Family Law proceedings including those falling within the Court of Protection.
Whist studying at BPP Cambridge she served on the student committee and would supplement her academic diet attending lectures at Cambridge University’s Lauterpact Centre for International Law. Fiona completed the Graduate Diploma in Law in the midst of a global pandemic while working as a paralegal on legally-aided, public and private law matters. She went on to complete the Legal Practice Course in which she achieved a Commendation in 2023.
