Kris graduated in health sciences from the University of Surrey where he also obtained a Level 1 certificate in language proficiency in French. He has worked in the field of Court of Protection since July 2012, previously as a client affairs officer reporting to the Deputy.

Kris has attended accredited courses in Social Welfare Benefits, the Mental Capacity Act, Adult Safeguarding and Information Governance to supplement his Court of Protection expertise. He obtained a Level 5 Diploma in Management in January 2018 which reinforced his skills in his current role.

Kris is an affiliate member of CILEx (Chartered Institute of Legal Executives) and a member of CoPPA (Court of Protection Practitioners Association). He has obtained a CILEx L3: Certificate in Law & Practice (Elderly client practice) and is continuing his studies with CILEx.

He is fluent in French and Creole.

In his spare time Kris enjoys photography and has had his work published on a number of online magazines and book covers; he was recently shortlisted for the Ruth Borchard Gallery Prize for their 2023 portrait competition.
