Profile

Fiona is a paralegal in our Children Department having joined Dawson Cornwell in 2020 and primarily assists on matters involving private and public children law and care proceedings.

She spent five years in academic publishing before starting her conversion to Law.  Building from the ground up, she joined the Citizen’s Advice Bureau as a volunteer before moving to HMCTS.  As a Court Usher and Clerk, she worked closely with all levels of judiciary and court users, gaining a diverse knowledge of Civil, Criminal and Family Law proceedings including those falling within the Court of Protection.  Whilst studying at BPP Cambridge she served on the student committee and would supplement her academic diet attending lectures at Cambridge University’s Lauterpact Centre for International Law.

Fiona completed her Graduate Diploma in Law in the midst of a global pandemic while working as a paralegal on publicly funded private and public law matters. In 2023 she successfully passed her Legal Practice Course achieving a Commendation, managing to combine studying at BPP University again whilst working.
