Dawson Cornwell act for father in highly-publicised child abduction.

We represent Mr Peter Uhd in highly publicised abduction proceedings concerning his 3 year old daughter, Ruby.

A High Court judge has expressed his real concern about the current welfare of Ruby Mckay-Uhd (aged 3). On 12 February 2019, Mr Justice Keehan permitted details of the family to be released into the public domain in the hope of locating her.

Partner, Anne-Marie Hutchinson OBE, QC (Hon) and Associate, James Netto represent Ruby’s father, Mr Peter Uhd, in proceedings in which he seeks for Ruby’s return to her home in Melbourne, Australia.

Ruby is thought to be in the care of her mother, Ms Victoria Mckay (also known as Victoria Booty and Victoria Garrick), along with a child from a previous relationship. Ms Mckay is said to be living with both children out of a campervan. Her extremely transient lifestyle is of real concern to the Court and to Ruby’s father. Mr Uhd remains exceptionally concerned by Ruby’s removal from Australia, as well as her disappearance within England. Ruby was removed from Australia in September 2018, and has not been seen since.

Acting for Ruby’s father, associate solicitor James Netto writes: 'Mr Uhd wishes to make it clear that Ms McKay is not in any sort of trouble. He is simply seeking for Ruby to be found safely, and for her to return to her home in Melbourne. He asks that anyone who sees her or Ruby to get in touch with us as soon as possible.'

If you do have any information whatsoever concerning Ruby or her mother, please do not hesitate to get in contact with us on 0207 242 2556, or by email on jn@dawsoncornwell.com and amh@dawsoncornwell.com
