Poppy is a senior associate who qualified as a solicitor in May 2021, specialising in all aspects of private matrimonial finance and children law. She joined Dawson Cornwell’s finance department in September 2024. Prior to this, she worked at a Tier 1, Legal 500 firm in their family department. She is recognised as a “Recommended Lawyer” by The Legal 500 2025.
With a professional but sensitive approach, Poppy advises clients on a wide range of private family law matters including: divorce, financial remedy proceedings, jurisdiction matters, complex children matters including relocation and injunctions. She has extensive experience with cases involving international assets, as well as those involving domestic abuse. Poppy also has expertise in Schedule 1 Children Act applications and TOLATA claims, regularly assisting clients with financial provision for children and cohabitation-related property disputes. Additionally Poppy has been involved in the drafting and negotiating of pre and post nuptial agreements and has appeared on a podcast with bridal company, Guides for Brides discussing all there is to know about pre nups.
Poppy now works in London having previously worked in the Thames Valley and Hertfordshire where she was an active committee member for the Thames Valley Family Lawyers Society and regularly organised seminars and events for local family law professionals.
Poppy is a member of Resolution which is a community of family justice professionals who work with families and individuals to resolve issues in a constructive and collaborative way. She is dedicated to achieving settlements outside of court wherever possible and always acts in a proportionate, thoughtful and considered manner to help clients reach a swift and cost‑effective resolution. Additionally she is a mentor with Lawyers Who Care, mentoring care-experienced aspiring lawyers, and she is a trained mental health first aider.
