Profile

Deena specialises in a range of matters including inheritance tax planning, wealth preservation, drafting Wills and the drafting and administration of trusts. She also advises on probate matters and has experience in the re-sealing of overseas grants of administration for use here in the UK. She has particular expertise advising high net worth individuals with assets in other jurisdictions.   

She is a full member of the Society of Trusts and Estate Practioners (STEP), a member of the Law Society’s Private Client Section and the Franco–British Lawyers Society.

Deena has experience in mental capacity and Court of Protection issues. She has an interest in how to safeguard the elderly and vulnerable, and her STEP qualification includes Advanced Certificate in Advising Vulnerable Clients. She advises on how to put Powers of Attorney in place so as to safeguard assets and also provides guidance to attorneys as required.

Deena studied French at University College London. She worked for a number of years as a marketing consultant, her experience culminated in working for a world leading advertising company in the City, before re-training and qualifying as a solicitor in 2010. Before joining Dawson Cornwell, she developed and built a thriving private client department for an established Surrey based firm. 

As a fluent French speaker, she also advises French speaking clients and works on French cases.
